This wine beer was made by blending oak-aged saison with Riesling from Hinterland Wine Company. The result is a product that blurs the lines between wine and beer. We decided to bottle this one still and we've really enjoyed drinking it with a slight chill, allowing the aromas to pop.
Heady aromas of apple, pear and pineapple. Light American oak, some salinity and a juicy acidity allow for a quenching finish.
ABV 8.0% - 750ml
Currently, Sonnen Hill is focusing on producing a variety of pale ales, lagers, and mixed-fermentation beers such as saison and grisette using local ingredients whenever we can. Brewing high-quality beer, without excessive alcohol content, is what it’s all about.
They are committed to restoring the land they use by working with local conservation authorities to plant thousands of trees, reintroduce native grasses and wildflowers, and add boxes for birds and bats, creating a nice habitat for the wildlife around them. They have planted over 200 fruit trees and intend to use what they are growing in the brewing process.
Sonnen Hill brewery is located on their 37-acre family farm in Caledon, Ontario.
