Our newest batch of Barb made by blending foeder beer, hoppy stainless saison, barrel aged beer and fresh rhubarb.
All of the grain used in this beer was grown in Ontario and the rhubarb is from a farm around the bend.
Fresh green fruit aromas of granny smiths, gooseberries and starfruit. Sour candies on the palate. Drinks light, tart and dry.
ABV 4.5% - 750ml
Currently, Sonnen Hill is focusing on producing a variety of pale ales, lagers, and mixed-fermentation beers such as saison and grisette using local ingredients whenever we can. Brewing high-quality beer, without excessive alcohol content, is what it’s all about.
They are committed to restoring the land they use by working with local conservation authorities to plant thousands of trees, reintroduce native grasses and wildflowers, and add boxes for birds and bats, creating a nice habitat for the wildlife around them. They have planted over 200 fruit trees and intend to use what they are growing in the brewing process.
Sonnen Hill brewery is located on their 37-acre family farm in Caledon, Ontario.
