Freshly packaged & airfreighted from our friends at Sonnen Hill Brewing in Ontario, Canada.
Heart Lake Pils is a pale lager brewed with pilsner malt and a little wheat, hopped with Loral, Tettnanger and Fuggles in the kettle, and lightly dry hopped with Saphir. It was fermented cool and slow with a lager yeast we like.
This is an easy-going beer with aromas of sticky honey, flowers and sweet orange. A balanced, spicy bitterness and dry finish makes this one a real sinker.
Currently, Sonnen Hill is focusing on producing a variety of pale ales, lagers, and mixed-fermentation beers such as saison and grisette using local ingredients whenever we can. Brewing high-quality beer, without excessive alcohol content, is what it’s all about.
They are committed to restoring the land they use by working with local conservation authorities to plant thousands of trees, reintroduce native grasses and wildflowers, and add boxes for birds and bats, creating a nice habitat for the wildlife around them. They have planted over 200 fruit trees and intend to use what they are growing in the brewing process.
Sonnen Hill brewery is located on their 37-acre family farm in Caledon, Ontario.
